Two Sun Metals team members have proudly represented the company as part of the Cowboys in Capes regular community visits, helping bring smiles to children and families at Townsville University Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.

Sun Metals employees Penny and John joined players from the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, alongside local community organisations, to visit young patients and their families through the Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation initiative.

The annual Cowboys in Capes program aims to lift the spirits of children receiving treatment and provide support to families during what can often be a challenging time.

Reflecting on the experience, Penny and John said it was a privilege to be involved.

"It was an absolute privilege to join the players at the Townsville University Hospital Children's Ward and Ronald McDonald House. Seeing the community come together was heartwarming. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring some joy to the children and their families, and we are grateful for the collaboration that made this possible."
