We’re thrilled to officially celebrate the launch of The Gathering Place – a student-run coffee van created in partnership with NRL Cowboys House and proudly supported by Sun Metals Corporation, Townsville Logistics and Townsville Marine Logistics.

More than just a mobile café, The Gathering Place represents connection, culture and opportunity. Wrapped in a stunning artwork by local artist Tshak, the van is a moving canvas carrying the story of unity, belonging and the power of community.

Students from NRL Cowboys House are now learning real-world barista and customer service skills, building confidence and workplace experience that will stay with them long after they leave school. Every coffee they serve also raises funds to support House programs – meaning every cup gives back.

A special thank you goes to Sodexo for generously donating the coffee beans to keep the van running and the community caffeinated. Their contribution ensures students can continue learning and serving with pride.

The launch of The Gathering Place is another step forward in our ongoing partnership with NRL Cowboys House, built on shared values of education, empowerment and creating stronger futures for young First Nations students.
