Director - Finance & Business Development
Simon has built a distinguished career in finance, commercial strategy, and resource-sector operations, bringing more than 18 years of experience to his senior leadership role at Sun Metals.
He joined Sun Metals in 2019 as Financial and Business Development Superintendent, stepping into a key role supporting commercial analysis, long-term planning, and business performance across the refinery. In 2023, he was appointed Manager - Finance and Business Planning, where he led budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy during a period of major operational and organisational change.
In July 2024, Simon was appointed Director – Finance & Business Development, where he now oversees Sun Metals’ end-to-end financial strategy, investment planning, and business development priorities. His leadership supports critical decision-making across capital utilisation, operational improvement projects, and long-term commercial positioning.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance, and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
